Strathmore

Eskom's list of Johannesburg areas names a Strathmore with many numbered extensions, but the City of Johannesburg's property register and its suburb map have no place of that name, and no JW zone table, list of towers, statement or notice names it. We cannot tell where this Strathmore is or who supplies it.

People search for water news about Strathmore, so the page is here. It shows JW's reports from the day a JW page, supply table or notice links Strathmore to a supply. Nearby suburbs are in the A to Z list.

Live updates during the day: Johannesburg Water ↗ and OurPower ↗. This page keeps the history.

What JW's boards cannot tell you

• Whether water reaches your street or your tap.
• Which streets lose water first: JW warns of higher-lying areas but does not name the streets.
• Why a supply ran low, unless a JW notice gives a reason.
• Pipe bursts, tankers and valve work, which are not on the boards.
